There is a very specific process required to plaster high humidity and water prone areas such as showers, bathrooms and laundries.
Some elements of wet area plastering will be performed by a plasterer, other parts by plumbers & tilers. It’s important to note that all waterproofing must be carried out by an approved applicator.
Installation requires a combination of waterproof membranes and “flashings” which provide a barrier to moisture movement (usually in a corner).
Different wet areas require different levels of treatment to protect them from moisture.
